Kurt Klinzing is a 3rd Degree Black Belt and is a Certified Medical Qigong Instructor. He has been training for twenty years. He has been teaching martial arts at the Stoneham school for three years and currently gives QiGong lessons to residents of Assisted Living Facilities. Previously, Kurt worked for 40 years as a Software Systems Architect. He has circled the world twice by land.
Joanne Sankus is a 3rd Degree Black Belt and a Certified Medical Qigong Instructor. She started training at Body Mind Systems at age 60 and now teaches at the Stoneham location. She had practiced Judo for several years and a year of Karate before discovering Body Mind Systems. Human Harmonies is now her main focus for instructing and a holistic life style. Other interests include Orienteering, presently on the board of directors of the New England Orienteering Club. She worked for 20 years as an electronics technician for Sears and is currently working for a non-profit company that provides training and programs for handicapped adults.
Elizabeth Cohen is the Director of the Human Harmonies program north of Boston, and is co-owner of the Body Mind Systems Martial Arts Center. Elizabeth has been teaching martial arts and Tai Chi for over 10 years, and has been involved in the training and education fields for over 20 years. Clients include individuals ranging in age and physical ability, educational institutions,non-profit organizations, and Fortune 100 companies. Her most recent focus includes partnering with health and wellness practitioners and organizations to provide education and training on the benefits of Tai Chi and Qigong for health, fitness, and improved quality of life. Human Harmonies North Shore is an Official Medical Qigong Certification and Training Center, and is currently accepting applications for individuals looking to become Certified Medical Qigong Instructors.
Priscilla Fitch is a 3rd degree black belt Instructor, and is currently pursuing her certification as a Medical Qigong Instructor. Physically active but with little prior athletic interest, she began martial arts training in Body Mind Systems in 2004 at the age of 58, starting with Tai Chi classes. Priscilla has successfully completed both Assistant Instructor and Instructor Programs with Body Mind Systems and Human Harmonies. In addition to teaching in Human Harmonies at the Swampscott location, Priscilla also teaches the children programs. She has worked as a middle school English teacher, as a general employee to a Harpsichord Maker, and as a landscape gardener, with her own small and continuing practice.
West Roxbury, MA
Lyne Breault is a 3rd Degree Black Belt and is a Certified Medical Qigong Instructor. She has been training for nine years. Over the past few years she has focused her passion for helping people feel better in a new way and now teaches martial arts and Tai Chi/Qigong programs at Human Harmonies and Body Mind Systems. Lyne also earned a degree in Biochemistry, and worked as a scientist for several years, contributing her efforts toward finding a cure to cancer.
Merav Chlamtac is a 3rd degree black belt and a Certified Medical Qigong Instructor. She has been a Qigong practitioner for twenty years and has been training in martial arts at Body Mind Systems for fifteen years. Merav holds graduate degrees in Math and Computer Science and recently retired from a long career in the Computer Aided Design industry. She is currently teaching Tai Chi and Qigong programs at Human Harmonies. She feels that her training brought profound changes to her quality of life. She is passionate about helping others improve their health and sense of well-being through training
Jill Potsaid is a Certified Medical Qigong and Tai Chi Instructor with Human Harmonies. She has been a student of Martial Arts for almost a decade and has practiced Tai Chi, Kung Fu, Bagua, Kong Su Do, Aikido, Judo and weapons. Jill has taken the Assistant and Instructor training programs. She was drawn to Tai Chi and Qigong in particular because of the incredible health benefits both practices have on the body, combined with an emphasis on creating a mind-body connection. She credits her practice as one of the most positive influences on her life, and is thrilled to have the opportunity to share what she has learned with others. She feels that having the chance to empower others to care for themselves, just as she has been empowered to love, heal and appreciate herself, is an amazing way to spend her life.
Thomas Sullivan is a Vietnam Veteran and retired nurse. He has been studying Martial Arts for the past 6 years, is a First Degree Black Belt and is an Assistant Instructor. Thomas is currently working on becoming a Certified Medical Qigong instructor. He is also teaching Veterans and has begun classes at the Jamaica Plain Veterans Hospital for the Veterans who are treated there. His goal is for other vets to experience the health benefits and mind body improvements that he has gained through his training.
