Elizabeth Cohen is the Director of the Human Harmonies program north of Boston, and is co-owner of the Body Mind Systems Martial Arts Center. Elizabeth has been teaching martial arts and Tai Chi for over 10 years, and has been involved in the training and education fields for over 20 years. Clients include individuals ranging in age and physical ability, educational institutions, non-profit organizations, and Fortune 100 companies. Her most recent focus includes partnering with health and wellness practitioners and organizations to provide education and training on the benefits of Tai Chi and QiGong for health, fitness, and improved quality of life. Human Harmonies North Shore is an Official Medical QiGong Certification and Training Center, and is currently accepting applications for individuals looking to become Certified Medical QiGong Instructors.
Priscilla Fitch is a 3rd degree black belt Instructor, and is currently pursuing her certification as a Medical QiGong Instructor. Physically active but with little prior athletic interest, she began martial arts training in Body Mind Systems in 2004 at the age of 58, starting with Tai Chi classes. Priscilla has successfully completed both Assistant hookuphangout Instructor and Instructor Programs with Body Mind Systems and Human Harmonies. In addition to teaching in Human Harmonies at the Swampscott location, Priscilla also teaches the children's program. She has worked as a middle school English teacher, as a general employee to a Harpsichord Maker, and as a landscape gardener with her own small and continuing practice.
Lyne Breault is a 3rd Degree Black Belt and is a Certified Medical QiGong Instructor. She has been training for nine years. Over the past few years she has focused her passion for helping people feel better in a new way and now teaches martial arts and Tai Chi/QiGong programs at Human Harmonies and Body Mind Systems. Lyne also earned a degree in Biochemistry, and worked as a scientist for several years, contributing her efforts toward finding a cure to cancer.
Jill Potsaid is a Certified Medical Qigong and Tai Chi Instructor with Human Harmonies. She has been a student of Martial Arts for almost a decade and has practiced Tai Chi, Kung Fu, Bagua, Kong Su Do, Aikido, Judo and weapons. Jill has taken the Assistant and Instructor training programs. She was drawn to Tai Chi and QiGong in particular because of the incredible health benefits both practices have on the body, combined with an emphasis on creating a mind-body connection. She credits her practice as one of the most positive influences on her life, and is thrilled to have the opportunity to share what she has learned with others. She feels that having the chance to empower others to care for themselves, just as she has been empowered to love, heal and appreciate herself, is an amazing way to spend her life.
Thomas Sullivan is a Vietnam Veteran and retired nurse. He has been studying Martial Arts for the past 6 years, is a First Degree Black Belt and is an Assistant Instructor. Thomas is currently working on becoming a certified medical qigong instructor. He is also teaching Veterans and has begun classes at the Jamaica Plain Veterans Hospital for the Veterans who are treated there. His goal is for other vets to experience the health benefits and mind body improvements that he has gained through his training.
Christina Escoto is the Director of the Human Harmonies locations in Colorado and also the co-owner of Body Mind Systems Training Centers in Littleton and Wheat Ridge. She is a 3rd Degree Black Belt and a certified Medical Qigong Instructor. Christina has been teaching martial arts for nearly a decade and has taught a wide range of people from children as young as 3-years-old to seniors in their 90’s. Since starting teaching, she has found that there is no greater way to give back to the community than teaching others how to take care of their mind and body to have a happy and healthy life.
Master Teacher John Hanley has over 21 years of martial arts experience. He is a registered 7th Degree Black Belt in the Body Mind Systems Martial Arts organization and owns multiple locations in Boston, MA and Denver, CO. John is also the Regional Director of Human Harmonies Health & Wellness Centers in Colorado. John has trained hundreds of people to achieve their black belt and specializes in training instructors.
John is also the owner of Active Response Tactics Self Defense which specializes in Military, and Police Combatives. He is a SABRE Civilian Safety Awareness Program Certified Instructor and a College Safety Awareness Program Certified Instructor, which teaches pepper spray and street awareness training. To stay current, John trains at the Sig Sauer Academy for firearms, improvised weapons, hand-to-hand combat, situational awareness training and self defense laws.
John graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA and has had the opportunity to play around the country in various bands. He is currently the co-founder and guitarist for the band Sound7 which plays a combination of Rock, Reggae, Funk, Soukous, Zouk, Rumba and Blues.
Jeff Robbins is a 3rd-degree Black Belt Instructor in Body Mind System and a Human Harmonies Instructor. Jeff Robbins also trained in Jow Ga Kung Fu for 10 years in New York City and holds 3rd-dan rank in Iaido, the art of Japanese swordsmanship. Instructor Jeff has been teaching Taiji, Qigong, and Body Awakening in the greater Washington DC area since 2007. Concurrent with his martial arts training, he spent 30 years as a book editor for some of the most prominent science publishers in the northeastern U.S. Instructor Jeff is presently focusing on advanced training in Yang-style Taijiquan and in Medical Qigong.
